Yesterday began with taking care of the animals (cats, dogs, baby chicks, big chickens, horse, cows) and doing farm chores. Then we had the blessing of visiting with our old church family (where we attended for 21 years) to share in the Mother’s Day breakfast. It was wonderful! Next we got to spend time celebrating one of the most wonderful men in the world who was turning 87 years old…my Uncle Johnny! When I was a little kid, he worked in Columbus and we lived out in Thornville (about an hour away). Every night I would wait up for him to get home, around midnight. Once he got home, we would eat homemade spaghetti and watch Johnny Carson together. Those were some of the sweetest memories. I’m thrilled that I’ve had him all these years and that he has been such a big part of each of my kids lives too.
