Scripture says that the thief comes to kill, steal, and destroy, but that God comes to give us life abundantly. In my last post I wrote about how someone had done wrong to us. But what I have learned from that and from the days following it, again, is about God’s faithfulness. He is true to His word NO MATTER WHAT. That doesn’t mean that everything will always go our way, or that we won’t encounter difficulties, but just that He will meet us in them and He will restore us.
We have recently been reading in the books of Genesis and Job. Both of those books show the enemy coming in with lies and wickedness and stealing away what God has given…just like what we encountered. But it also tells us about how God’s desire is that we may have life and about how He restores.
He rushes in like water, coming all around us. He wraps Himself around us to comfort us when we are overcome with grief. When we are sad, He is there to catch every tear. When we are afraid, He is right there in the darkness with us.
